Posted by Following the last @PlayOverwatch developer update with Jeff Kaplan, and quickly following Doomfist’s recent release on live servers and Competitive Overwatch, is the 2017 release of Overwatch’s seasonal Summer Games event. As you might recall this event took place last year. However, this year as a bit more summer flair and the skins alone are causing people, regulars and long time fans, to access the game all at once causing long wait queues and matchmaking issues.
It might be total chaos on the live servers right now, everyone on every platform is trying to get into the game and unlock lootboxes for these amazing skins, but these skins are totally worth it. Junkrat is my least played hero, under one hour of playtime on all platforms, but I might honestly give him a try because of this Skin and his upcoming PTR buffs.
Additionally, Lucio Ball has returned and now contains matchmaking for a competitive Luico Ball mode which promises rewards for finishing the 10 placement matches and even better rewards if you place in the top 500 of your region.
